This is an ongoing series in which I explore my family’s history through the lens of photography. I’m interested in the divergence of my personal history with the history of Jewish people in the past hundred years. While this series was first and foremost an exploration of my past and of my family’s material culture, it was also an act of devotion, similar to the practice of icon painting. I look forward to expanding this series in the future.
